Everything you need to know about the Email Creative Gallery and how to use it.

Yes — every email in this gallery was built by Golden Digital and sent live to actual D2C brand audiences via Klaviyo. These aren't templates or mock-ups. They reflect real flows with real send data behind them.

The gallery covers all eight core D2C email types: welcome series, abandoned cart, win-back, nurture, promotional campaigns, seasonal sends, educational content, and transactional emails. Filter by type to see examples in each category.

A flow (also called an automation) is triggered by subscriber behavior — joining your list, abandoning a cart, making a purchase, or going inactive. It sends automatically based on timing and conditions you set. A campaign is a one-time send you schedule and deploy manually, typically for promotions, launches, or seasonal moments. Flows drive the majority of email revenue for most D2C brands.

Three things: timing (first email within 1 hour), specificity (show the exact items left behind with product imagery), and a well-sequenced offer ladder (don't lead with a discount — save it for email 2 or 3 so you don't train customers to abandon carts on purpose). Strong subject lines that create genuine urgency without fake scarcity also matter.

Lead with empathy before the offer. 'We miss you' outperforms 'Here's 15% off' as an opener because it re-establishes the relationship before asking for the sale. Include a re-permission CTA so genuinely interested subscribers identify themselves — and suppress non-openers after the sequence to protect your sender score.

Animated GIFs are short looping animations embedded directly in the email body. They load without any click and are supported by all major email clients. They're most effective for revealing a discount, demonstrating a product feature, or adding energy to a seasonal send. GIFs add file size, so keep them under 500KB and limit to one or two per email.

Filter by the flow type you're working on, then open the lightbox to read the tactical tips and strategic context for each email type. The goal isn't to copy the creative — it's to understand why a specific structure, offer sequence, or design decision works, then adapt it to your brand's voice and product.

All emails are built for Klaviyo and tested across Gmail, Apple Mail, and Outlook — the three clients that account for 85%+ of D2C brand opens. Animated GIFs render in Gmail and Apple Mail; Outlook shows the first frame as a static image, which is why GIF designs always lead with a strong first frame.
